Gillian found yoga in 2012 after years of being a ballet/ballroom dancer and battling anxiety; the first time she stepped on to her mat she found breath, calm, and peace. She came to Austin in 2014 from the frozen tundra of Chicago. Austin was not only the warm paradise she was looking for but also the community she craved. Her students know her for her ability to combine mindfulness with humor and her love for pizza. Gillian has a 200-hour training vinyasa as well as hatha fusion; in October of 2016 she completed her training to become a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor. Now using those skills, she helps students navigate the physical experiences of anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. Her goal is always for you to have a good conversation with your body and leave knowing (and loving) a little more about yourself.
