The practice of yoga teaches us how to accept ourselves equally at our best and our worst. I started practicing Ashtanga as a child, and continued to come back to yoga throughout my young adult life. As a new “real” adult in the world, I rely on my yoga practice to reconnect my mind and body with my spirit and purpose. I guide my classes with options for organic movement, lots of breath, and a focus on cultivating graceful strength. My practice has shifted from pushing myself in poses to taking a step back, and listening to my body. I think the magic of yoga lives in the present, ever-changing moments that we experience. The challenge is honoring those moments without judgment or ego, and accepting them with an open heart. I invite you to join me in the studio to cultivate a safe place to breath, grow, and connect, namaste!
