Carissa is originally from Arizona. Immediately after moving to Austin in 2015, she left her full-time corporate job to dive into teacher training and deepen her practice. Since then she has taught at several studios around the Austin area as well as corporate classes. Carissa loves that yoga helps her build emotional and physical strength, and self-awareness. Her classes focus on building strength and body awareness by connecting breathe with mindful movement. She strives to create a safe space for people at all levels so each person leaves class feeling comfortable and confident with their own practice.
