Easy, Healthy Energy Bites

Just about everyone is a fan of sweets. If I ever do come across someone who says something like “Oh, I hate sweet stuff!” I always make a very weird face at them. I can’t help it!

Whenever I am craving something sweet, I don’t want to ever go through too much trouble to get it or make it. I want to hurry up and make it so I can eat it right away!
These little bites are so easy and great if you have kids. You could let them handle the whole process really, it’s that simple! But, the best thing about these snacks is that you won’t feel ridiculously guilty. They are pretty healthy and satisfying!

You can add and take away whatever you want. They are pretty accepting to most flavors!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line the baking sheet with parchment paper

What you need:

3-4 large and very ripe bananas

4 cups old fashioned oats

½ cup shredded coconut (optional)

½ cup mini chocolate chips (or use dark chocolate to make it healthier)

1 Tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

½ cups slivered almonds or finely chopped walnuts

Add craisins, raisins or any dried fruit

Putting it together:

Mash up the bananas first.

Then, wait for it, throw everything else in the bowl and mix it all together!

Roll into ½ inch balls and put them on the baking sheet. Bake for about 8-10 minutes depending how toasty you want them. Just be around to watch them!

Enjoy your guilt-free snack!
